The nic is on the tip of the ear, but it bled quite a bit. It did clot, and she seems no worse for wear right now. No visible pain, and she’s acting as normal. The other cat was also indoor. I used a salt water towel to clean it a bit, but I didn’t want to upset the clot. I don’t see any severe wound, just the blood.
So what should I do? A gentle salt water solution just to make sure it won’t get infected? Or maybe something else? It doesn’t seem serious enough for a vet visit right now.
if there is pus around the wound, get it to a vet. its infected
if there is none, then unless its a small cut, get to the vet
Cats fighting and injury caused you need to take this cat to the vets as it needs antibiotics as cat scratches/bites cause real issues, illness if not treated correctly/quickly
Call your vet and see if you need to bring the cat in for a shot of antibotics or what you can do at home.
